In nurseries and for other horticultural or agricultural irrigation applications, water distribution uniformity is essential to ensure all crops get equal coverage. Rain Bird’s highly durable, full circle LF Series impact sprinklers provide this, together with water stream height flexibility and long throw distances.
To achieve uniform irrigation within a specified area, the sprinkler’s design includes a deflector spoon that guides the water stream away from the riser and shapes it into a rain curtain right through to the end of the throw. Particularly suitable for climate control and frost protection applications, two nozzle sizes, the LF1200 and LF 2400 offer throw distances as far as 15 metres with water stream trajectories from 6 to 22 degrees. Capacities range from 270 to 1549 litres per hour.
The LF Series is a major improvement on the design of traditional brass impact sprinklers. The robust design combines high performance thermoplastics for the disc drive and a patented long lasting ceramic radial bearing which withstands the gritty water that is common in horticultural and agricultural applications. To prolong service life, the LF Series‘ design ensures that water never comes into contact with the bearing because it is shielded from the water path. High grade stainless steel springs and an ultraviolet stabiliser ensure protection from wind blown debris and the effects of the sun.
No special tools are required for assembly and it is a simple snap together installation process for the LF’s sprinkler drive body, nozzle and deflector. Colour coded nozzles allow easy identification and there is a choice of NPT or Acme thread versions. An optional anti-theft or vandal-proof edge guard is available as well as a splash guard that makes maintenance easier to carry out.
